Company Profile

Northern Freight Services were established in 1978. The company is still privately owned and the owner and his family have a high profile within the business. When the owner's strategy developed to moving on the business it was incorporated in 1994. Initially situated in Sunderland the main operation has since relocated to our larger 120k sq. ft cap warehouse and premises at Peterlee, we still have a presence in Sunderland but far reduced to what it was.

In terms of freight, haulage and fleet resources we have a mixed fleet of some 45 vehicles ranging from 1800 weight vans to max capacity articulated units, all vehicles being fitted with tracker systems.

Our Strategy

Here at Northern Freight Services we believe our style of management is flexible in that we will react to customers request in a positive manner while seeking to be pro-active in putting forward suggestions and advice to customers.

We are share holders in the Pallet Network which means our interest is not purely and simply in the input of pallets but also in the overall success of the Pallet Network as a business.
