Pallet Network Service
In terms of pallet customers we have 2 distinct types. High volume input customers typically put in a trailer a night and low volume customers who put in as few as 2 or 3 pallets a week.
High Volume Input Customers
For High Volume customers we can provide hardware & software including printers that would be needed for the effective operation of the service. The customer would "manifest us" (as we say) at 3pm on a daily basis so we can pre-alert the hub as what to expect in terms of volume.
Using the equipment provided customers can print off labels and attach them to pallets accordingly. Pallets are then loaded onto standing trailers. At a prearranged time the loaded trailers are collected and an empty one is left for the next days consignments. The pallets are then delivered through the system by members in the post code area where the pallets are destined.
PODs will accompany all invoices as evidence that the deliveries have taken place but if earlier proof is needed they can be provided the day after the delivery.
Insurance cover is £5000 per tonne with our Network against the industry average of between £1300 and £2000.
Low Volume Input Customers
Low volume customers contact the traffic department as and when pallets are available and pick up will be arranged. Pick up will be made by one of our collection and delivery vehicles and brought back to our depot to be put into the system. The delivery and POD process is as it would be for high volume customers.
